Bobby Carr:
Carr’s work has been much loved and talked about, though not widely exhibited until relatively recently (and then primarily in group shows with the Elmore County Art Guild) with the exceptions of a 2005 exhibition at the Fain Community Center in Wetumpka, AL and an Exhibition in Russellville, Alabama.
Bobby Carr: Retrospective 2013, traces the development of Carr’s paintings and practice from his early works to his current works positioning him within the larger narrative of Southern Regionalism and along side of the likes of Kelly Fitzpatrick and Waree Carmichael Lebron of the Dixie Art Colony. This two-dimensional retrospective honors the artist’s creativity, originality, art practice and the influence he has had on the arts community of Elmore County, Alabama.
